Nell Hennessy Employee Benefit Moot Court Competition

Keller Rohrback was a proud sponsor of the 2025 Nell Hennessy Employee Benefits Moot Court Competition held on March 7-8 at the Catholic University of America School of Law in Washington, D.C. The annual competition, now in its eighth year, is named in memory of Ellen A. (Nell) Hennessy, a fearless advocate for the rights of employee benefit plan participants and retirees, and features the finest oral and written advocacy on critical issues in benefits appellate litigation. The event was created by The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, founded in 2000 as a non-profit organization dedicated to elevating the practice of employee benefits law.

KR partner, Erin Riley, was a co-chair for this year’s competition, which pitted teams from 16 law schools across the U.S., and saw Baylor University achieve a narrow victory over George Washington University.

KR welcomes such opportunities to advance the experience and expertise of fresh legal minds, and deeply appreciates the commitment of former and current attorneys to that same principle.
