Keller Rohrback Selected to Receive 2013 Beacon of Justice Award

Keller Rohrback has been selected to receive the 2013 Beacon of Justice Award from the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA).  Keller Rohrback's team, led by Harry Williams and Benjamin Gould, was selected among 17 law firms who have given substantial time and resources to pro bono representation.

This award was given to firms who uphold the mandate of Gideon v. Wainwright, the watershed Supreme Court opinion which established the right to counsel of all people accused of a felony.  Firms recognized for this award were nominated by fellow law firms and organizations, and were selected because they increased attorney resources for people with low income, reduced the demand for attorneys by making changes to legal policies and procedures, and improved the effectiveness of representation given.
