Complex Litigation Legal Assistant: Keller Rohrback L.L.P. is growing! We are seeking a highly qualified litigation legal assistant with a minimum 5+ years of federal court experience for its Complex Litigation department in its Seattle office. 

Keller Rohrback’s plaintiffs’ practice is nationally recognized for its work on cutting-edge cases Our litigation practice is sophisticated and diverse and includes civil RICO, consumer and product liability class actions, financial fraud and securities prosecution, environmental law and toxic torts, ERISA, and antitrust litigation. We pursue high impact cases that make a difference. All Complex Litigation attorneys and staff are expected to produce exceptional work product and use their best judgment when making decisions about remote and onsite work to meet department, team, and case-based needs. The person selected for this position will complete onboarding and position training onsite in our Seattle office before being eligible to work remotely.
The successful candidate will have senior-level experience working in Federal courts, and a depth of knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and processes. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, very straightforward by nature, positive and proactive, and enjoys working in teams. This position will support three fast paced litigators who generate a high volume of work; and will act as the lead legal assistant on various large cases, working collaboratively on cases in teams.

•    Exemplary communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues, co-counsel, and clients.
•    Fanatical proofreading and editing skills and a keen eye for the details.
•    Ability to act as the right hand for support, especially in monitoring calendars and keeping attorneys apprised of approaching deadlines.
•    Ability to effectively respond to urgent situations that require a quick response or turnaround.
•    Strong organization and time-management skills.
•    Sound critical thinking skills.
•    Demonstrated ability as an independent thinker and self-starter, and a strong work ethic.
 

Responsibilities include the following:
·    Case management, including docketing and calendaring, management of court filings.
·    Preparing pleadings for e-filing in various courts nation-wide.
·    Finalizing documents, with an eye to ensure deadlines are met and service is complete.
·    Managing incoming emails, mail, voicemails, calendared appointments, and communication with clients, vendors, and other counsel.
·    Creating and maintaining working notebooks.
·    Making travel arrangements
·    Assisting others as needed.
 

Salary Range:  $95,000-$105,000

Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant: Keller Rohrback L.L.P., a Pacific Northwest-based law firm, has an immediate opening in our Portland office to add a highly qualified commercial litigation legal assistant to our team. The successful candidate will have senior-level experience working in Oregon state and federal courts and arbitrations, and a depth of knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, and processes. This full-time position will primarily support one attorney and occasionally the office’s other lawyers with Oregon-based cases. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, very straightforward by nature, an exceptional proofreader, positive and proactive, and appreciates the challenging work and fast pace of litigation. 

Qualified candidates must possess:

The job opening is in the Seattle or Portland office. The ideal candidate will have completed a judicial clerkship and/or at least one year of experience in complex litigation. Excellent writing and research skills are required. The candidate must be interested in joining an active and fast-paced litigation team that spans multiple practice areas. Active Washington or Oregon State bar membership or ability to obtain membership via reciprocity is required. The position is full-time with benefits.

Salary Range:  $130,000 - $140,000
